That upstart rival corporation is at it again!
This time, they've developed a chemical known as Mutranol, allegedly for
research purposes only. As usual, they're lying. You have received reports
of sinister experiments, innocent people changed at the genetic level into
ravening and hugely strong mutants! There is only one feasible course of
action - teleport in to the weapons dump where huge stocks of the
(conveniently highly-explosive) chemical are held, and destroy it. This is
the only way that civilians can be protected. And besides, you're annoyed
that your lot in Bio-Weapons didn't think of it first.
Of course, it isn't as easy as that. The dropzone is just outside the outer
ring of a three-ring defensive installation. The first ring is a tunnel,
widening into storerooms around the circumference of the station. A few
barrels of Mutranol are stored around this area - you must destroy them all
to make sure that no more can be reverse-engineered (you happen to know that
the formula, erm, "disappeared" in an unexplained neutron explosion at the
main research establishment a few days ago).
The second ring is a simple open forest area, however it has been set on
fire as a desperate attempt at defence.
The final ring is the fortress-like building at the centre of the
installation, which is extremely heavily defended. At the midpoint of this
building is the main Mutranol dump, your main objective.
Notes
~~~~~
* Don't expect the enemy to play fair - you've got mine scanners, I'd use
them if I were you!
* Try to use fire to your advantage - the enemy can be lured into attempting
a suicidal rush through.
* Don't get drawn into toe-to-toe fighting here!
2-Player suitability
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Firestorm plays well as a 2-player scenario.
